Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

I fitted four of these tyres at the same time. The front pair wore out after about a year of use but the rear pair are still good. I haven't used them in snow. I use them all year because they have much better grip than 'summer' tyres.

I have done a lot of driving on these tyres on snow and ice. I have had other tyres that were slightly better on soft snow, but they still did the job. They were outstanding though on icy roads and on compacted snow. You obviously still need to drive for the conditions, but these are great, especially bearing in mind their reasonable price. I will definitely look to buy these again

Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain & the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,

The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.

I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I’m very happy with the tyres. I’ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it’s slight and after 5 minutes you don’t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!

I bought these so that I wouldn't have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

I found this tire to be one of the best all round tires available. No matter the weather the car always felt sure footed. My Octavia was the Vrs model so had plenty of horsepower to transmit, and the Cross Climates made easy work of doing that. High speed driving was safe and quiet as was cornering. A fabulous tire! Only regret is the limited sizes because I can't get them to fit my Fabia Monte Carlo Estate else I would be running them on that as well.

This was the second time I have purchased this set of winter tyres. Winter 2023 I drove across Czech republic where a heavy snowfall suprised us on the way. With those tyres absolutely no problem, felt safe.

Tyres have performed well so far it's still early January so haven't been able to test their performance in the snow yet but they feel reasuring in the wet the car needed tyres when we brought it so a wear comparison will be difficult but I expect then to wear quicker than standard tyres as the compound is bound to be softer on a winter tyre

I have tried virtually every chinese built tyre over the years on my classic mini and they dont last more than 5000 miles. The rubber compound is too soft, I get through at least one set of tyres a year. They were cheap but are now getting more expensive. Tyres from mytyres are shipped from germany, not oxford, and mine took 6 weeks to arrive...

Fuel economy and comfort seem fine, grip on wet roads is pretty terrible, wheelspin going uphill and lift-off oversteer are something I’ve never experienced in this car in 200km of ownership until I fitted these tyres. Will be going back to Blizzaks for winter.

We purchased these tyres for use in the ski season in the alps. They were excellent, the car gripped and stopped well. I never had to use snow chains. I would buy them again but I have no points of reference as to how they compare against other tyres.

I was surprised how good these tyres are, winter tyres are never supreme performers in the wet and when they let go, you do notice! Tread ware is awesome, they are lasting a lot longer than summer tyres (perhaps because you can't push them as hard and a standard D5 can dump too much power on the front wheels) They are quiet but essentially they work well on snow and ice. Recommended

Hold the road well in all conditions just slightly noisy but not overly so a similar amount to a set of Avon ZZ3 had on a Volkswagen a few years ago would definitely purchase again also we're a good price for all seasons tyre and a good price.

Car now relegated to daughters using it for general use. Fairly rural roads, with. mixed road surfaces. The XL rating of the tyre & tread pattern is good for going up a farm track to where the pony has stable.

4 tyres fitted to a small Kangoo van. They perform well for a slow, tough little van/car that is used for ferrying building materials and going to and from building sites. I don't drive fast or try to push the van beyond it's limits. For this purpose the tyyes are very adequate.

Definitely the best tyres I've owned to date. I'm driving 28years and always had an issue or two with tyres, so decided to go for all season tyres online so I could see reviews and specs . Bought full set of 4 Rotalla after seeing reviews. I am not an overly cautious driver let's say, and I would take roundabouts at a fair enough speed, previous tyres would struggle on wet days. I instantly felt a huge difference on roundabouts, and grip on breaking on colder mornings . I'm extremely happy with the road grip and performance on sunny days AND colder frosty mornings. My car feels safer to drive for sure. I drive in city, rural and motorway roads regularly so I can say I have tested these tyres fully. At a guess I've done approx 2.5k+ miles on these tyres. Fuel efficiency has improved slightly, but my car is old, so wasnt expecting miracles. I'm changing cars soon and I just hope I can get these tyres or very close to, for the new car. That's how happy I am with them. Only reason I might have not given 5 stars all round is because I cannot judge the noise or fuel based on my own cars age and knowledge of noise level. Highly recommend tho, delighted I took the chance
