Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

The tyres lasted about 3 weeks before one had a blow out the side wall of the tyre went on a motorway nearly caused an accident we were towed to a fast fit centre so they fitted 2 new tyres to replace the ones from mytyres I tried contacting the supplier had no answer from my email and the phone put on to a very unhelpful gentleman who took no notice of any thing I said. So I would say DON’T buy tyres on line go to a fast fit that way if something goes wrong you can claim.

Amazing tyres, grip is excellent, comfort and noise are excellent. the only thing i can fault is that the wear isn't anything special. Down to 4mm after 6000 miles. My tyre size is 245/35R18 but tyretest will not let me add the correct size above.

Excellent tyres chosen via the reviews by Jon @ tyrereviews.co.uk - they faired very well against the likes of the Michelin PS5s and at the time of buying (Feb2023) the Goodyears were £250 cheaper than the PS5s; but more or less neck & neck with them in the tyre review! That swung the decision for me, more so with the money saving!

Car Driven : BMW 425D 225Hp . Quite quietly from the start until the first 10,000 km they kept a relatively low noise level until the end of their lives. Relatively comfortable especially considering that is a runflat tire. The tire tread still retains its original groove and design but has significant wear points on both edge and there are some small tire detachments. In the few rains we have in Greece it never had a hadling problem or breaking and did not create any feeling of insecurity. in short it is a good quiet tire ROF tire, comfortable and efficient in fast driving.

best tyres ever had them on Audi A3 TDI sport ,fiesta st .ford focus MK2,jaguar xj 3Ltdi best grip ever handles in wet like a great tyre does when dry grips so hard in the dry the engine struggles to go faster because of the grip tried all the named brands like Mitchellen ,toyos ,co rentals and the uni royals beat them ever time not just price but grip safety and handling too .never use any other tyre the 5s are better than the 3s but not by much . hard to improve on such a great tyre

Driving within my own ability and the ability of the vehicle I choose to drive is what I do. The tyres on my car are part of the interface between driver and road. I prefer to drive with the tyres fully inflated in order to feel the feedback from the surface of the road through noise, suspension and steering, I ballance throttle and brake response with weather conditions, road conditions and temperature. Tyres with less grip just dictate that I should moderate speed and braking at an increased rate. Noisey tyres provide slightly better feedback than silent tyres. The road with current traffic congestion burden isnt the place for performance spirited driving but is the place where defensive driving must be used. I would describe my tyres as competent.

Bought the Extra Load version. Very happy, lots of grip in the wet , cold and heavy rain. TTS is a firm ride but even these extra load are so compliant, quiet and very comfortable for winter tyres. Had no snow so can’t comment on that aspect. Run Goodyear and Vredestein winters in the past but prefer the Yokohamas . Already had set of 17 rims from previous TT which is why I bought 17s rather than 18s. Excellent tyres !

I bought these tyres because of the price and performance and there isn't much choice for winter tyres on 21" rims. I drive sensibly with a mixture of counrty roads and highways. I have noticed the tyres are quite a bit noisier than summer tyres but that's to be expected given the tread pattern. Fuel consumption isn't that different which I'm pleased about. Grip, both wet and dry is exceptional. I usually buy tyres with rim protection, these don't have it and I have kerbed my wheels, just have to be more careful in future. Overall I'm pleased with these Yokohama's and would buy again.

This vehicle is used for both medium distance trips and a considerable amount of off-road mileage through the winter months (September-February). My two previous MLs had been fitted with General Grabber which had performed very well and particularly off-road in wet and muddy conditions, with a tread pattern that did not clog reducing their efficiency and the vehicles had never become stuck. Collectively, these vehicles had covered more than 421,000 miles without issue. However, my newest ML has bigger wheel rims and General Grabber do not build a tyre to fit. Yokohama appeared to be the only manufacturer to build tyres that fitted with anything like a proper off-road tread. My early experiences suggest that they are less efficient off-road than my previous selection, but this assessment is still work in progress.

These tyres in my rear wheel drive BMW are grippy in the dry, but leave me yearning for more in the wet. The car will "step-out" if I punch it whilst the road is even midly damp. My tracking was done at the same time as having these fitted so that is not a factor. The car will also step out if the road is more greasy looking.

Noisy piece of crap. Above 110km/h changes your vehicle into vibrating boat you cannot steer safely on highway. First and last Goodride (Westlake) that I ever purchased. Avoid that chinese garbage!

When I purchased my vehicle (preowned) it came with Nexen tyres on all four corners. I had to change the two front tyres after a few years and choose Goodyears. Last year I had to change the front tyres again because the Goodyears had worn considerably, whilst still having the same Nexens on the rear of the car since I purchased it. Hence stick with the Nexens. When I need to change the rear tyres I will definitely choose Nexens.

I bought these tyres as wanted a budget sport tyre for our recently purchased vauxhall Insignia, so got a pair from Oponeo. They sent Sport 2's which are a Chinese made model. Have been generally happy with these as been on some long & many short trips in last year. They have given confidence inspiring performance through all weathers & never given me reason to regret buying them. They wear well too as still lots of tread left. Recommended...
