I thought about trying to get a refund. They make a terrible rumbling noise is one or two psi off optimum. Never had a tyre do that before.

Great tyres, good grip, excellent wear property, slightly noisy on road, excellent value for money 👍👍

Very quiet tyres, very smooth comfort.
20.04.2022fromIrving Stewart
The MX5 Mk3 NC is generally regarded by enthusiasts as the worst handling of all the MX5's due to its extra height, weight, and suspension settings but I deliberately selected this particular version for its comfort, power folding roof, and pleasant ride. When first purchased the car was fitted with ridiculously wide [10"] rims shod with obscure American tyres. It handled like a pig, followed every white line, and a matchstick on the road felt like a small boulder. Fortunately I swapped the big wheels, with another enthusiast, and acquired a set of 16" Momo alloys. These wheels were shod with Falken tyres, two of which were almost new and two almost shot. The decision was whether to change tyre brand completely or see how the Falkens fared. The various MX5 Forums showed a wide range of differing views on the best tyres for my MX5, at hugely differing costs, so I decided as an experiment to stick with the with Falkens and subsequently fitted a new pair to the front. At this stage I should add that it has taken me three years to rebuild this MX5, it is probably my last car, and it is very rarely driven to its limits. Whilst I still enjoy a spirited drive around the enticing Welsh and Shropshire roads, and the occasional run to Essex and the South Coast, I gave up thrashing my cars when I retired from the circuits over 50 years ago! Today safety, comfort, and pleasure are my prioroties! Over three years the Falkens have performed well for "budget" tyres. In the dry they behave well, are quiet, and very predictable. In the wet they can be induced to loose grip [especially on the rear] but I have never had the front break away unexpectedly or in a dangerous manner. An over enthusiastic right foot will induce wheelspin when pulling away in the wet, even in town, but the Falkens soon regain traction. In the dry the rear can be induced to "hang out" but I have never had any major concerns about the car swapping ends. Some of the younger members of the MX5 fraternity have told me that [when run at higher pressure] the Falkens behave well on the track but wear quite quickly which is something I have not tried, and will not experience. Compared to the exhorbitant wear rate of far more expensive "leading" tyre brands experienced by my friends [some as low as 12,500miles per set] on far more recent premium cars, I am more than satisfield with the Fakens and will probably, eventually, replace them with the same brand.

Very happy with the tyres - excellent grip in wet or dry conditions. Also wearing well and reasonably quiet.

Excellent value for money. I don't push the tyres to the limit but they easily cope with varying weather and have lasted well.

Great tyres, safe and give confidence on all surfaces and conditions
13.06.2025fromstevi
best tyres ever had them on Audi A3 TDI sport ,fiesta st .ford focus MK2,jaguar xj 3Ltdi best grip ever handles in wet like a great tyre does when dry grips so hard in the dry the engine struggles to go faster because of the grip tried all the named brands like Mitchellen ,toyos ,co rentals and the uni royals beat them ever time not just price but grip safety and handling too .never use any other tyre the 5s are better than the 3s but not by much . hard to improve on such a great tyre

Great.
13.04.2024fromGeof Wassell
Driving within my own ability and the ability of the vehicle I choose to drive is what I do. The tyres on my car are part of the interface between driver and road. I prefer to drive with the tyres fully inflated in order to feel the feedback from the surface of the road through noise, suspension and steering, I ballance throttle and brake response with weather conditions, road conditions and temperature. Tyres with less grip just dictate that I should moderate speed and braking at an increased rate. Noisey tyres provide slightly better feedback than silent tyres. The road with current traffic congestion burden isnt the place for performance spirited driving but is the place where defensive driving must be used. I would describe my tyres as competent.

In comparison to other Hankook tyre types i've used over the years these were terrible verging on dangerous in respect to grip whilst breaking in all conditions. I have removed these tyres and reverted to the part worns previously fitted. There is something very wrong with the compound of these tyres.

Grip always feels good, very impressed with how they deal with standing water on fast roads.

Driving reponse good with low road noise.

Fitted to a 1978 Dolomite Sprint for a European endurance run. Great grip and braking - very confident drive through the Alps and on some of those crazy European motorway interchanges with tight turns. Very pleased with these tyres and will busy again for this vehicle and the modern!

Continental Tyres - one of the leading tyre companies

Continental is one of the world's largest tyre companies. It was established in 1871 as Continental Caoutchouc and Gutta Percha Compagnie. Hanover in Germany is still the company's headquarters. Continental produced hard and soft rubber products such as balls and waterproof clothing first and bicycle tyres a little later. Post-millennial there Continental tyres for passenger cars were available as well.

In 1904, Continental put the first air tyre with a tread on the market - a milestone in tyre history. Then, as now, the group invested a lot of time and money in the research and development of tyres - the basis for the continued success of the company. In 2007, the Hanover production site was closed. In other countries, it also came to decommissioning. Meanwhile there is a news factory in Hanover concentrating on retreading Continental tyres.

Explore the Continental tyre range

The Continental Group own other brands as well such as Uniroyal, Semperit, Barum and Matador, but they are partially categorized in different price segments than the Continental brand which is a high standard one to come at a price. Nevertheless, everyone can afford Continental tyres because autopink-shop.co.uk has favourable prices. Order your tyres cheap with free shipping. Simply select the desired size and read the test reports about the strengths of the products to find the exact tyre that will meet your needs.

Most of the tyres that are available here are known as high-performance tyres that will keep you safe no matter the road and weather conditions. We bring you a huge selection of all-season, summer and winter tyres for all kinds of different vehicles, some of which are even known for their long running life. If you are looking for environmentally and fuel efficient tyres, you will not be disappointed either.
