On dry roads or mild weather, your tyres have to face some increased demands and must always meet safety standards. Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

Relatively comfortable especially considering that is a runflat tire. The tire tread still retains its original groove and design but has significant wear points on both edge and there are some small tire detachments. In the few rains we have in Greece it never had a hadling problem or breaking and did not create any feeling of insecurity. in short it is a good quiet tire ROF tire, comfortable and efficient in fast driving.

Big improvement on the OEM fitted brand. More refined, quieter and more confident grip in both wet and dry. Fitted full set; 215/45R17 in front and 245/40R17 in rear, as standard spec. Only driven on road (A and B roads and some motorway), no tracking. Hard to fault for this purpose.

Excellent tyres chosen via the reviews by Jon @ tyrereviews.co.uk - they faired very well against the likes of the Michelin PS5s and at the time of buying (Feb2023) the Goodyears were £250 cheaper than the PS5s; but more or less neck & neck with them in the tyre review! That swung the decision for me, more so with the money saving!

These are the best UHP rated tyre available IMO. I've used Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Pilot Sport 4 on my M140i and these Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport tyres have the beating of them. Fantastic front end grip, progressive rear at limit of adhesion. In the dry the are superb but in the wet they are pretty incredible. Very confidence inspiring meaning you can really push on where with other tyres of this type you'd be backing off. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Tyres are fine apart from one problem, the rears on a motorway are just really noisy at speed when they get down to around 4mm of tread, so much so that I thought it was a wheel bearing issue, and checked them out, they appeared to be OK, when I fitted new rear tyres the noise disappeared

The tire works quite well on normal asphalt, but on dirt roads the lateral grip is poor. The tire is loud on the highway. The tire wears out really quickly, so I won't buy it again.

Never before had tyres only last 6500kms on my WRX thought it was my wheel alignment had that checked and it was fine massive camber ware when I'm only running 0.5 neg and rear tyres are at less then 50% left so definitely would not recommend at all cheap yes gets you outta trouble but not worth it

I bought these tyres as wanted a budget sport tyre for our recently purchased vauxhall Insignia, so got a pair from Oponeo. They sent Sport 2's which are a Chinese made model. Have been generally happy with these as been on some long & many short trips in last year. They have given confidence inspiring performance through all weathers & never given me reason to regret buying them. They wear well too as still lots of tread left. Recommended...

Good grip on a dry warm day , Starts excessive oversteer in the wet, and they are almost down to the treadwear indicator in just under 3 k miles . Easily looses traction under acceleration in the wet
