Good grip, solid performance on rough country roads, and smooth enough on A roads, balanced breaking and no vehicle shudder
05.02.2025 from Dean
I've done around 8500 miles so far in mostly poor weather , very good grip in all winter conditions and mild conditions. Good all rounder.
28.05.2024 from Marcis
Good grip on wet and dry roads. Reasonable grip on snow and icy roads. Noisy on dry roads. Fuel consumption has increased. All in all decent tyres.
07.04.2024 from Harry
Incredibly capable tyre for all conditions, but my experience on the roads in West Yorkshire will probably dictate that I don't purchase these tyres again as they are too soft on the sidewall, they do need some sort of protective band. The roads a terrible around Haworth for potholes, and in this case I could not dodge one and it has ripped the sidewall and damaged the rim, rendering the tyre scrap.

18.12.2023 from Jeremy Spillane
I can’t yet comment on grip in snow and ice, as I haven’t yet driven it in those conditions, although I did buy these tyres to be able to drive in any conditions, all year round. These tyres are only on the front of the car, as these were the only All Season tyres of the correct size for the front of this car. The rear tyres are a larger size, and I have a different make of All Season tyres on the back. The car drive’s perfectly with the tyres I have fitted, and it feels very grippy, and quiet, under all conditions. I am very impressed with these tyres and I’m confident they will be excellent in snowy and icy conditions as well. It is too early to cont on wear and MPG, but that is not an issue for me.
25.08.2023 from Malcolm Ash
Excellent tyres, have used these tyres on many types of vehicles over the years and they have performed superbly. They are my go to tyre.
01.06.2022 from Marky L
Whilst the grip is good in snow, these tyres really struggle to get the torque down to the road from the the 1.4 Hybrid 215PS during acceleration when the surface is wet OR dry. It's particularly bad in the wet, where the wheels spin easily. Even on the electric motor drive only, a dab of the throttle to over 80% power sets the wheels spinning at low speed. The Michelin Pilot's that were fitted as standard have much better grip on the wet roads than the Nexen. Therefore I wouldn't class the Nexen as "all season". It should really be classed as a winter tyre only. I wouldn't like to run these tyres all year round due to the inferior grip in most conditions (except snow of course). I wouldn't buy this brand if I wanted an all-weather tyre again. I'd purchase a proper winter tyre and swap around in the seasons as I've had to do with these anyway!
04.06.2020 from Raf
Overall good tyres. Slightly noisy but not to extend. This is what you would get from all-weather tyre - bit of all. Not most economical on fuel consumption again this is all-weather tyre which is not as good Michelin Cross climate but good for its price.

28.01.2024 from David Gauld
When I bought the car in September last year it had recently been fitted with Kumho Ecsta PS71. These were quite skippy on the wet roads despite being marketed as a good performer in wet conditions. Since fitting the CrossClimate 2's I have had far better grip in the wet and winter conditions. We have had loads of rain, flooded roads then ice and then a week of snow. These tyres give confidence in these conditions and help improve the safety of your drive in those conditions. Will buy again.
18.06.2023 from Robert
Have been driving to Cotswolds from London on motorways.
17.04.2023 from CNicol
When I bought my BMW 3 series I had off brand summer tyres on it. I bought Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres for it and noticed the difference in the handling on dry roads immediately. The car was much firmer and secure on the road when driving at speed. When driving in the torrential wet I found these tyres to struggle a bit but general rain fall they are fine. Took a year and a half before I got serious snow to test them in. I had to drive home 30 miles on rural roads at 5am with no snow tracks to help and to make things harder I was in a rear wheel BMW. These tyres handle it perfectly, they are incredible in snow. Finally, I am a year and a half/ 10000 miles into them and they easy have another 7K/8K worth of miles in them. 5 stars all round, I'm buying them again no question.
24.04.2022 from Len
Grip on wet roads is excellent. No snow since purchase, so can only estimate it as very good. Comfortable ride, but slightly noisier than a regular tyre. Car handles very well on the Crossclimates.

Feels solid and well placed on road, grip good no snow yet to assess but good in wet.
01.06.2022 from RJ and T
Initially nervous about changing brand from the fitted ones but needn't have worried. As with other cars we have used these on it is a huge improvement and we would buy the same again.
27.03.2021 from Michael Chapman
Probably the best tyres I have used. Comfortable and safe handling in all weather conditions here in Scotland hot summer, wet semi flooded and deep snow during the time owned. The best feature of these tyres on my vehicle is the feeling of safety and confidence with the Crossclimate + fitted
20.03.2021 from Kevin Bates
I found this tire to be one of the best all round tires available. No matter the weather the car always felt sure footed. My Octavia was the Vrs model so had plenty of horsepower to transmit, and the Cross Climates made easy work of doing that. High speed driving was safe and quiet as was cornering. A fabulous tire! Only regret is the limited sizes because I can't get them to fit my Fabia Monte Carlo Estate else I would be running them on that as well.

History of Manufacturing High-Quality Tyres

History of Manufacturing High-Quality Tyres

Hankook Tyre is a highly reputable tyre manufacturer with an increasing market presence on all continents. The company itself started in South Korea in 1941 as the Chosun Tyre Company, but later went on to change its name to Hankook Tyre Manufacturing in 1968. The South Korean giant now supplies tyres to numerous automakers, with its products reaching more than 180 countries. Thanks to continual investments in new technologies, Hankook has managed to become one of the industry’s leaders. And when it comes to all-weather tyre manufacturing, this globally successful company boasts an impressive portfolio. Hankook all-season tyres are definitely a prime example of what this well-known brand has to offer in terms of technologically advanced products.

Hankook’s All-Weather Tyre Models

For people living in areas spared of extreme winter weather, all-season tyres are certainly an optimal solution for their vehicles. Unique characteristics of all-round tyres make them suitable for use in almost all weather conditions. Instead of using two sets of tyres or even two sets of wheels throughout the year, you can rely on just one set of year-round tyres that deliver solid performance in all sorts of road conditions.

Kinergy 4S (H740) is only one of models available from the range of Hankook all-season tyres. It delivers impressive performance in all types of weather, as well as balanced driving experience regardless of the season. The tyre boasts reduced braking distances by 10% on snow and 6% on dry. Thanks to its unique tread pattern that uses broad lateral grooves, Kinergy 4S (H740) provides excellent snow traction. It also benefits from a high grip silica compound that gives it improved traction on wet and reduced rolling resistance.

The tyre’s ideal tread strength comes from a jointless full cover reinforced belt, whereas a wide steel belt layer is responsible for improved handling performance. Other technological enhancements that set this model apart from its rivals include equilibrium polyester carcass line, adoption of high-hardness bead filler, as well as ultra-high-strength bead wire. All of these features make Hankook’s popular all-weather tyre extremely durable and dependable in various road conditions.

Another one of the brand’s highly sought-after tyre models comes as the Optimo 4S (H730). It was designed to provide solid performance on all surfaces, including dry, wet, and snow. Moreoever, it can easily compete with summer tyres when it comes to driving performance on dry and wet. Wide, high-tensile steel belts and high-hardness bead filler contribute to the tyre’s impressive steering response and extended wear life.

Find more information on Hankook all-season tyres at Autopink-shop.co.uk. Above all, we stand for professional service and customer satisfaction.
