Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.
12.01.2023fromIan
I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.

Always use this brand and model of tires. Because of its durability, and reliability. Best for me.

- Pretty good-short-braking and grip. In both wet and dry. Also, very good road feedback. - Comfort, economy, and quite tyres. With pretty good quality and price. - I will buy it again and again, for real. -Highly recommend it for me. Bought these tyres as a bit of an emergency stop gap after somebody had slashed my tyres in a city centre car park, they were only supposed to be on for a few weeks until pay day and I could afford something better, however they’ve now been on for 6 months and have been used in all weathers, including a couple of muddy tracks. They perform really quite well, grip is very good in the dry, only a slight decrease on wet roads and better than expected in the snow. Although they’re not a mud tyre, they still handled the muddy farm tracks with ease. Fuel economy seems pretty much unchanged, road noise is slightly higher than a premium tyre but not so much that it becomes intrusive. Tyre wear is on par with others, I’ve done 10,000 miles so far and judging by the remaining tread, If I run them all the way down to 1.6mm, I think I’ll be on course for a 20,000 mile lifespan.

These are a thoroughly dependable tyre and the Expert 2 (and the later Expert 3) are superb tyres. In addition to the stated vehicle I have a set on my wife's 2014 Audi A3 and our 'spare car' a 2009 Fiat Panda 4x4. They are all on all year round and have acceptable wear even in hot summers
06.02.2026fromJim Hutchinson
What makes these tyres stand out is their performance on very wet roads or standing water.
27.02.2025fromMichael Payne
I am a careful driver. Mostly urban with some motorway driving. The tyres I chose are all season. Whilst I live in Edinburgh City, when snow falls I need to drive 800m and up 2 hills in order to get to a road that is kept clear and often there are cars and a bus strewn across the road. Amazing but true. These tyres have allowed me to bypass these cars and proceed to the swept roadway. 2 times this winter. Scarcely believable that people don't know how to drive in the snow. They are sure footed in frost too.
22.01.2025fromMr Neil Richard Parnham
We have owned this car for almost 11 years now and the last 9 years have been on firstly Uniroyal MS+77 205/55 R16 91H and then for the last 3 years on AllSeason Expert 2 which is a vastly improved tyre. The latter is so much quieter and returns improved fuel consumption and I believe better grip in wintry conditions

Bought the Extra Load version. Very happy, lots of grip in the wet , cold and heavy rain. TTS is a firm ride but even these extra load are so compliant, quiet and very comfortable for winter tyres. Had no snow so can’t comment on that aspect. Run Goodyear and Vredestein winters in the past but prefer the Yokohamas . Already had set of 17 rims from previous TT which is why I bought 17s rather than 18s. Excellent tyres !

Excellent rear wheel drive traction in snow and wet roads
11.04.2023fromNick Turner
I bought these tyres because of the price and performance and there isn't much choice for winter tyres on 21" rims. I drive sensibly with a mixture of counrty roads and highways. I have noticed the tyres are quite a bit noisier than summer tyres but that's to be expected given the tread pattern. Fuel consumption isn't that different which I'm pleased about. Grip, both wet and dry is exceptional. I usually buy tyres with rim protection, these don't have it and I have kerbed my wheels, just have to be more careful in future. Overall I'm pleased with these Yokohama's and would buy again.
22.10.2021fromJohn Walker
This vehicle is used for both medium distance trips and a considerable amount of off-road mileage through the winter months (September-February). My two previous MLs had been fitted with General Grabber which had performed very well and particularly off-road in wet and muddy conditions, with a tread pattern that did not clog reducing their efficiency and the vehicles had never become stuck. Collectively, these vehicles had covered more than 421,000 miles without issue. However, my newest ML has bigger wheel rims and General Grabber do not build a tyre to fit. Yokohama appeared to be the only manufacturer to build tyres that fitted with anything like a proper off-road tread. My early experiences suggest that they are less efficient off-road than my previous selection, but this assessment is still work in progress.

I fitted four of these tyres at the same time. The front pair wore out after about a year of use but the rear pair are still good. I haven't used them in snow. I use them all year because they have much better grip than 'summer' tyres.
