Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

The best road tyres I have used. Dry grip -awesome, wet grip - awesome feel/feedback - superb. They make the MPSS look silly, especially in adverse conditions. Can't recommend them highly enough!!

These are the best UHP rated tyre available IMO. I've used Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Pilot Sport 4 on my M140i and these Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport tyres have the beating of them. Fantastic front end grip, progressive rear at limit of adhesion. In the dry the are superb but in the wet they are pretty incredible. Very confidence inspiring meaning you can really push on where with other tyres of this type you'd be backing off. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Excellent driving experience on these tyres. They feel safe, sturdy and solid on the road in heat, heavy rain, slippery roads due to mud, country roads, uneven and good surfaces, I have not yet tried in snow or ice. To any walkers reading this, they feel like vibram soles for my car!

tyres only have well below normal 6.5mm tread from new and mine were worn down to 4.1 mm tread after 400 miles plus one developed a bulge. Worst tyres ever only have perhaps 1 years life

Excellent grip on black iced roads during the winter period. Also very good grip on wet greasy roads after both light and heavy rain. Always feel in control. An excellent tyre and so far the wear is negligible.

Unbelievable grip in freezing winter conditions. Good grip in all conditions. They last longer than other premium tyres which more than accounts for their relatively high price. ps 'your feedback' section, its Braking not Breaking :)

Because of the damp and at times colder weather in Scotland I prefer to use al season tyres all year round - and on my previous cars my preference was for Continental all weather of winters. Could not buy Continental's in sizes I require for my BMW 640d so chose these Vredestein Quatrac Pro after considerable research - and have not been disappointed. These are excellent tyres, grip the road well in al conditions (but no snow here yet) and are much more comfortable and quiet that previous Pirelli Z run flats - indeed so much so that a friend to whom I gave a lift recently asked it my car was electric it was so quiet. In summary - great tyres in all conditions, and it will be interesting to see what tyre wear it like over the coming years.

Performed well in regarded to grip levels both wet and dry, did aquaplane more than the Pirelli’s P zeros but absolutely unbearable road noise and harshness. Yes I had 22” wheels with a very low profile but when compared to the OEM Pirelli P Zero & Scopions I’d avoid these if you want to enjoy your drive.

Superb grip on twisty country roads I've had minor spin when pulling away on wet surfaces, but have driven through very wet conditions with no concerns. Noise is more from poor road surfaces than the tyres and they're very quiet on quality roads. Still surprised by how little they've worn in 6 months.

Changed to these tyre as wasnt happy with the grip on the ones I had. Would definitely recommend great grip in wet and dry very good braking and comfortable and not any louder then any other tyre I have had.

Have tried lots of different snow tyres over years and put these on my 3 series touring to replace the Pirelli zero’s. If anything I thought they ran quieter than the zero’s and plenty of grip in both dry and wet conditions. Used the in snow as well and kept everything moving which is all you want from a snow tyre.

As my Volvo is a rear wheel drive automatic I always use winter tyres. Previously had Goodyear ultra grip 9 and still have them on the front. New Goodyear ultra grip 3 on rear. We're great in the recent snow, where front wheel drives were getting stuck, no doubt on summer tyres.

We have had winter tyres fitted to our main family car for the last 8 years and are total converts to their benefits. This was the first year I have worked as a chauffeur and didn't hesitate to have them fitted. All Mercedes vehicles wear tyres out in certain areas before the whole tyre is ready for replacement, due to their steering geometry settings. The winter tyres have outlasted the 'summer' tyres in this aspect and are still fitted to the vehicle despite temperatures now remaining above the optimum seven degrees. I totally recommend these tyres and will have them fitted next winter.
