What tyre size do you require?
The exact size of a tyre can be found on its sidewall.
The following chart shows you how to read a tyre size.
1. Overall tire width in mm
2. Ratio of tire height to tire width in%
3. Tire design: ''R'' = radial tires (widely used), ''D'' or ''-'' = diagonal tires (rare)
4. Required rim diameter for this tire in inches
5. Key figure for tire load capacity
6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Tyres were purchased to do some green lane riding. These are very suitable for the purpose and handle as good as road tyres when in the tarmac. Only downside is that you get around 3000 miles out of a rear tyre and it’s done!

This tyre has been great. After initial fitting the steering was a bit strange but after 50-100 miles it felt like a road tyre. Great off road and one of the best knobbly tyres on the road. Done 10500km on the tyre, only have the tkc80 on the front. I have a 70 rocks on the rear. I believe the front will do another rear. Tyre was great but the delivery time from the provider was shocking

Very good milege 16k km regional roads, country trails soft offroad, very good for dualsport, noisy when cornering. Grip is good, when it goes does not slip all the way. The front tyre could have a little more braking power on pawed road and back tyre could have softer compound on sides.

This tyre last better than a TKC80 and in anything other than mud, are as good gripwise, at least on the rear! Wear suffers, even on a lightweight, with a laden bike in hotter conditions I found.

I had my reservations buying low cost tyres. My first trip the mot station told me I didn’t need to worry dry day but wet roads due to raining showers they do the job well enough and I’ll happily buy these again Bargain !!

Have had no problems at all since fitting these tyres. Live in the country do occasional poor road surface, mud etc and had no nasty surprises. Pleased with them and appear to be wearing well too. No speed demon but have confidence in the tyre to deliver when needed.

The tyres are grand. They are tires. I would however like to make a point of saying http://moto-tyres.co.uk/ gave me the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. The original tire I ordered wasn’t in stock and it took them about 2 months to deliver it to me. Customer service was a joke and I spend more time chasing them up on their false promises then I did actually using the tires. On if the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had to go through ordering online. Don’t use http://moto-tyres.co.uk/ to get your tires is the only valid feed back I can give.

reassuring grip, great wear characteristics, good braking (with upgraded brakes) good ride & feel, covered over 12,000 miles with tyre, only replaced after serious accident-damaged tyre, wheel/forks. braking performance combined with 4 piston PM brakes saved life after impact with front/side of Van. tyre still had even tread across tyre width- never had such good wear with Avon Cobra/Venom/Road runner etc

Previously used the Bridgestone Exedra's. While these tires lasted long, their characteristics in wet weather was much to be desired off, especially in wet Irish weather. the Michelin Commanders are definitly a huge improvement in the bike stabillity with wet weather and roundabouts kan be taken with confidence without the rear of the bike slipping under wet conditions. Also brake stability much better, all in all a safer and more relaxed experiance with these tires, great road feedback!

Good tyre in general so far. Lacks feedback and confidence in the wet. Firm ride compared to Avon tyres. It will depend on longevity as to whether I buy again. If they do achieve double the mileage of my Avons, as advertised then I may consider buying again.
