The tyre that keeps on performing, even when worn
- High aquaplaning resistance
- Better wet braking and handling
- Responsive handling on dry roads
- Quiet, comfortable ride
High aquaplaning resistance. Enjoy wet-weather performance throughout the life of your tyre. As the tread surface wears, it reveals a second layer of grooves that act as new water evacuation channels. Even after 20,000km, the OptiGrip delivered better aquaplaning resistance than one new tyre from a leading competitor tested.*
Better wet braking and handling. The OptiGrip’s SmartWear Technology delivers superb braking and handling performance on wet roads. The bottom layer’s hidden grooves and new compound give your tyre a second life. When tested after 30,000km, the OptiGrip delivered 20% shorter braking distance and twice as much wet control as competitors’ tyres.*
Responsive handling on dry roads. The OptiGrip offers responsive dry handling thanks to its unique 3D interlocking mechanism and two-layer design. The top layer provides optimal stiffness for dry handling, while also prolonging tyre life.
Quiet, comfortable ride. The tread pattern is designed to keep noise level down, so that journeys are quieter and more comfortable.

I've used this tyre before and I was very impressed, this new car is 4 wheel drive and the tyres perform better than ever in all conditions, quiet on motorway trips & fabulous grip in adverse conditions.

Initially there was a noticable difference from Michelin primacy HP in terms of handling due to lack of grip/hardness feel. Strangely after more than 400 miles the tyres felt better-more aasured in handling. This is perhaps related to their technology which claims that after wear they grip more. Overall they have a nice pattern and look. For my car with the correct speed writing and a profile of 65 there arent many alternatives, since Michelin and Pirelli dont make that profile with a V speed rating anymore. Hence I would probably buy them again.
