These tyres were a real eye opener. Winter tyres seemed to be a bit of a gimmick, but these tyres have blown me away. Going back on in October.

I used this set of Alpins year round in almost all conditions including heavy offroading, driving in mud and snow, on high speed highways in summer, on almost flooded rainy roads etc. Along with these tires' amazing performance on both snowy and dry surfaces as well as unbeatable road and noise comfort, what impressed me most with them has been the unbelievable treadwear. I still have decent grip after 73,000 kms,and despite all the rough use, tires still look more than OK. Only reason I would probably go with the Michelin's summer tires next time is the Alpins' moderate to somewhat poor performance on wet surfaces, both when braking and cornering in 2wd mode.
